GDPR Compliance

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into force on 25 May and we are fully behind the spirit of these regulations for a safe and secure Internet. We aspire to adopt privacy by design and, to the extent possible, not to collect and store personally identifiable information.

Our Privacy Policy contains instances where personal information is required. Generally, this includes:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email adress

Personal information are used for the following purposes:

  • to administer your DataChampions account
  • to provide you with information and relevant content about our core business and your interests
  • to communicate on events organized by the community
  • to communicate on partner offers and services in relation with the community

At any time, you can request that your information be exported and sent to you for review, and we promptly honour any request from you to have your information deleted and forgotten.

Data mapping

We audit all areas of DataChampions to determine what personal data we collect and for what purpose. In the event that the collection of personal data is not essential, we remove this collection process.

Privacy policy

We work hard to ensure that our policy contains appropriate language, is easy to understand and clearly communicates all instances of personal data collection.

Erase

A user has the right to request that we delete all his or her personal data. Users who wish to inquire about the right to oblivion may contact us at any time by sending a request to dpo@datachampions.com.

Access / Portability

A user may request access to a copy of the personal data we have collected. Users who wish to request portability may contact us at any time by sending a request to dpo@datachampions.com.

Modification

In DataChampions, if a user asks to change their information, we can do so in our administration portal. If a user has a modification to make, he can contact us by sending a request to dpo@datachampions.com.

Cookies

We will add a cookie notice to all marketing pages and blogs to comply with the privacy policy. We do not collect personally identifiable information with our cookies, but we do want to recognize the use of cookie technology on our website.

We undertake to display a list of all cookies currently used by DataChampions.
